Dr. John Gerrard is the newly appointed Queensland’s new Chief Health Officer.
He will be replacing Queensland’s much-loved former top doctor Jeannette Young. He will be commencing his duties from mid-December.
The internationally respected and awarded researcher and clinician has more than 30 years of experience.

According to his LinkedIn, Dr. Gerrard completed his BSC and MBBS at the University of Sydney. Following that, he also went to the London School of Hygiene and Tropical medicine to study Microbiology. He earned his certificate in Infectious Disease from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
