They then started dating, and after two years of knowing each other, they got married.
They have four gorgeous girls and have been married for 32 years.

Simon Barnett is still married to his wife, Jodi Barnett. Even after all these years of hardship, they haven’t left each other side, and they supported each other on their journey.
Jodi suffered from a seizure at her Christchurch home and was rushed to hospital last year in April. Later it was discovered that she had two lesions on her brain.
He did not leave her side and went his role as Christchurch More FM’s breakfast show host to help her.
Simon told the audience in an emotional presentation that Jodi was only now beginning to speak after a long period of silence. After the fierce battle with her brain tumor surgery, she is doing well on her health-wise.
She gradually started to talk again and utter some words but tell you what, and they have been through it thick and thin.
Simon has returned to the radio once his wife has fully recovered.
He invited his wife Jodi to the show Newstalk ZB who is in remission, to tell her how much he loved her.
He told her on the show, “Jodi, I just want to say that I love you very much, sweetheart,” to which she responded with, “I love you too.
After all this trauma and hardship, they are still together, and their bond is stronger than ever.
