Jesse was born the fifth child to Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar; she has 14 younger siblings and four that are older than her. Jim and Michelle wanted to continue their tradition and like all Duggar children, before she saw the light of day, Jessa was homeschooled – the generation could probably fill a classroom anyway!

She made her first appearance as a 12-year-old in 2004, when her family was featured in the television film “14 Children and Pregnant Again”. Two years later, Jessa and her family became the subjects of several other productions, including “16 Children and Moving In”, “Raising 16 Children”, and “On the Road with 16 Children”, while in 2008, they were finally picked up for the reality TV series “19 Kids and Counting” (2008-2014). Jessa appeared in more than 150 episodes of the highly-acclaimed reality series, which only increased her wealth. Unfortunately, the show was canceled after 2014 season, due to her oldest brother Josh being involved in controversy, described by Jessa as mild sexual abuse involving inappropriate touching. However, Jessa and her sister Jill, with several other Duggar children, were picked up for a new series “Jill & Jessa Counting On”, which lasted for one season, but also contributed to her wealth.

Jessa is also a respected author too; together with her three sisters, she co-wrote the book “Growing-up Duggar” (2014), the sales of which further increased her wealth.

Regarding her personal life, Jessa has been married to Benjamin Seewald since 2014; the couple has two children together.
