The companies were involved in subcontracting money worth at least R25-50 million. Sharma is also suspected of corruption in Transnet worth R7 billion.
Sharma could face imprisonment up to 15 years. The judge Magistrate Estelle de Lange said the case is in very little favor of Sharma.
Iqbal has been titled to flight risk. Flight risk is a person who’s at a high risk of leaving a country before trial.
However, Iqbal has denied the entitlement and responded that he would happily cooperate with the court.
