Steele Dossier is thought to have been prepared to promote Donald Trump rumors. There have been speculations and unconfirmed claims that Trump and his 2016 campaign were hacked.
It further claimed that it was working with Russian intelligence officers in a secret plot in Moscow to assist Trump in defeating Hillary Clinton. According to the documents, Russia attempted to harm Clinton’s campaign by providing derogatory material about her with the Trump campaign.
According to the New York Times, the case’s indictment has yet to be unsealed.
The Steele dossier’s claims made their way into an FBI wiretap application targeting a former Trump campaign adviser in October 2016.
The dossier’s accusations, however, have not been confirmed, and some have been rejected, according to Danchenko’s boss, Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence agent.
Danchenko maintained his statements in a 2020 interview with the New York Times, stating he was charged with gathering raw intelligence and delivering it on to Steele.
