This case once again came to the light following the announcement of a two-hour NBC Dateline special about the 2014 Fayetteville murder of James Allan Chambers II which will be airing on Friday as per Tassco.

Howard Ashleman is an accused suspect of robbing and killing James Allan Chambers II in 2014.
Later, in 2018, Howard was officially found to be guilty of murdering his friend James. It is learned that the dispute between them led the former one to take the step of crime as per The Cinemaholic.
As per Facebook comments, a friend of Howard named Nick Riker, also noted down that Howard has always been very dangerous.
Criminal Howard Ashleman is serving in jail now as he was sentenced to around 9 years of imprisonment in the year 2018. Though the police initially had doubts on Howard and held him as the suspect they had no enough evidence to legally or formally keep him as hostage.
Well, he is expected to be released from behind bars on the 7th of August, 2033.

Victim James Chambers is still missing and even his murder suspect failed to actually tell police about his whereabouts and body remains.
As confessed by Howard, their heated argument pushed him to pull out a gun and use it to intimidate his workmate James. But, who knew, just the aim to scare eventually turned out to fire the trigger and murdered James instead.
