Hossein Rasouli is an Afghani athlete who is taking part in Tokyo Olympics. He finally got his opportunity on Tuesday to take part in the 2020 Paralympics.
Rasouli and his fellow Afghani athlete Zakia Khudadadi arrived in Tokyo on Saturday. They were evacuated from Kabul. Their homeland is in control by the Taliban forces. After they could not stay in Afghanistan because of the chaos and they were rescued and taken to Paris, France.

Hossein and Zakia spent a week in Paris at a French sports ministry training center. The pair from Afghanistan have refused to speak to the media, after or before events.
Rasouli is a sprtiner. He was scheduled to compete in the men’s T47 100-meter but he arrived late. Rather, Rasouli will enter in the T47 long jump. Whereas Zakia Khudadadi will be competing in the women’s taekwondo. She is going to become the first female Afghan sportswoman to participate in the Paralympics since 2004.
Who Is Hossein Rasouli? What Disability Does He Have?

His classification of disability by the International Paralympic Committee is T17. Despite not having an arm, Hossein Raoul is determined and he does not let himself down because of his disability.
He says, “I have never thought that I was handicapped and for two years I played football.”
He further added, “Then I started and continued exercises in the field of athletics in the Afghanistan Paralympic Committee and in 2016, gained its membership and attended several domestic games.” He made his statement on the official page of the Paralympic Committee.

Hossein Rasouli’s family is from Afghanistan.
It is not sure if Hossein’s parents and family were also evacuated.
Ten of thousands of people are trapped in Afghanistan. Luckily, Rasouli and some people escaped from the war zone.
It has not been confirmed whether his parents were lucky enough to get evacuated or not.
