Georgetown Police Department has arrested Heather Nicole Adkins, the mother of a 5-year-old autistic boy who was found wandering alone on Thursday night.
She was arrested at the gas station when the police were in the area for the suspicious phone call and upon making contact with the lady, her odd behavior led the police to ask further questions about her family.
While the charges were already filed against her in Colerain Police Department, Kentucky police arrested her in relation to a failure to pay fines warrant from 2011.

Arrested Heather Nicole Adkins (Heather Hammons), mom of 3 boys, is a resident of Shelbyville, Indiana, who drove one of her kids to Cincinnati, Ohio, and left him alone.
She drove 75 miles to abandon her child suffering from autism. Her son was found walking alone at the corner of Sheed Road and Gaines Road on Thursday night.
The young boy was found in a soaking wet condition waving down his hands to the cars. Josh Wanderski, the man who found the boy and called the police informed that he was alone in a super-dark area. The weather was freezing cold and windy when he was found.
Now, the child is in a safe and warm condition after being found.
Adkins was wanted in connection with her son being left alone and now that she has been arrested, police officials have placed her in a Scott Co. Detention Center.
However, her placement in the detention center is connected with the failure to pay charges from 2011. Colerain Police Department is yet to reveal if they have activated her warrant.
Heather Nicole Adkins is revealed to be a substance user. She was treated in the Georgetown hospital for meth and heroin.
