The US representative from the 15th congress district of Pennsylvania was born in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, and grew up with his family in Howard, Pennsylvania. He is the son of a Navy veteran and is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation.
The politician worked as a Therapist, Rehab Services Manager as well as Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for 28 years in Lycoming County. He further went on to serve as a chairman of the Centre County Republican Committee for six years and spent 25 years at Howard Volunteer Fire Company 14, and is an active fire fighting and rescue technician.

In an interview with NBC News, the politician’s son who is gay revealed that he married the love of his life in presence of his father. He has expressed his happiness as he began a new chapter in his life.
Further, according to the politician’s press secretary Maddison Stone in her statement, he was thrilled to attend and celebrate the wedding of his son. She further went on to add that the politician’s family is in extreme pleasure in welcoming a new son-in-law into their family.
Glenn Thompson Controversy About Same Gender Marriage
Glenn Thompson being a politician is not far away from controversies and the recent one of that is his vote against same-sex marriage.
The politician reportedly attended the wedding of his gay son just after three days of the US representative voting against the bill to pass the legislation to protect same-sex marriages. The poll for the legislation to pass the Respect for Marriage Act took place on the 19th of July, 2022.
The bill has now been headed to the Senate to take further steps in making the legislation. There were a total of 267 votes in support of the act while 147 votes were in opposition to pass the legislation. According to the reports, Thompson was also the one to vote against the bill.
