What Did Owen Keenan Say About Residental Schools?
Monsignor Owen Keenan said that two-thirds of the country is blaming the church, which they love, for the tragedies there.
Further, he went on to say that he presumed the same number would thank the church for well done in those schools, but of course, that question was never asked, and they are not allowed to even say that good was done there and awaits to see what comes to his inbox.
Kennan also said that while the church should apologize for its participation in the ill-devised government project, it should also wait to find out who was buried at the Kamloops site and why before rendering ultimate judgment.
The above comments were made in his recent sermon. He also referenced the Kamloops, B.C., residential school where the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation had reported that it had discovered the preliminary remains of more than 200 children in unmarked graves in May.
This is really disgusting @redeemerparish.
Pastor Owen Keenan wants Canadians to thank the church for “the good that was done” in residential schools???
