Evan Neumann is a California man suspected taking part in the US Capitol riots last year has been granted refugee status in Belarus, according to Belarusian television BeITA.
Neumann is a former Santa Rosa resident wanted by the FBI charged for allegedly assaulting police during US Capitol riots last year on Jnaurary 6, 2021.
A statement tweeted out by the Belarusian BeITA news agency announced that Evan had received refugee status in Belarus on March 22.

US Capitol Riot Suspect Evan Neumann Granted Refugee Status In Belarus
Evan Nuemann was charged in connection with the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol. After that, he went to Europe and initially settles in Ukraine, Eric said in an interview in November.
Neumann also stated that he traveled to Belarus on foot after noticing that Ukrainian authorities were watching him. Belarusian official said that Neumann has been granted permission to stay in the country indefinitely.

In an interview, Neumann stated how he first flew to Italy, then went to Switzerland via train, rented a car to travel tp Poland via Germany before finally arriving in Ukraine, where he finally settled in a rented apartment.
