Brooklyn Karen aka Emma Sarley’s racist video on Reddit gone viral after she harassed New York Times best-selling writer, Frederick T. Joseph, and his fiancee. The incident took place at a Brooklyn-based dog park on Saturday, 25th September 2021.
At that time, Frederick and his fiancee were walking with their dog, Stokely in the dog park. Suddenly, Emma’s dog started barking loudly seeing the Black couple. Shortly afterward, she said an offensive phrase, “stay in your hood” to them.
When the fight started becoming ugly, Frederick started recording her footage on his camera. Sarley then physically attacked him by trying to slap his mobile on the ground and showed him a middle finger.
During the racial discrimination in the park, a man was standing there witnessing everything that was going on. In the viral video, Frederick asked Sarley, “Did you just said to stay in our hood?” In response, Sarley said, “Oh my God, did you just say that to me? S-T.”
Frederick also went to the bystander and asked him, “I’m sorry you were just right here and watched this whole thing. Did she not stand here and tell us to stay in our hood?” The guy proclaimed that she said the thing. After hearing that, Sarley became shockingly surprised and immediately walked out of the place.
The very next day, her boss, Derek Andersen found her racial act of harassment, he immediately fired her from the job. He also wrote, “@BevyHQ has zero-tolerance for discriminatory behavior of any kind. Yesterday an employee engaged in behavior contrary to our values and has been terminated. We apologize deeply to all involved.”
