On January 20, 1946, in Missoula, Montana, Donald Walton and Edwina Lynch welcomed David Keith Lynch into the world. He has a sister named Martha Lynch and a brother named John Lynch.
During his schooling, Lynch joined the Boy Scouts, but he later admitted he merely “become [a Scout] so I could resign and put it behind me”.
