The 26 years old nurse, Juliana Ramos was helping an injured person when she pulled over. A passing vehicle then hit and killed her, then drove off in February around 12.20 a.m.
The police and her family have been searching for the man who was behind the wheel that day. Finally, after months of searching, the driver have been identified as Dr James Comazzi from Sonora.
Who is Dr James Comazzi from Fresno?
Dr James Leonard Comazzi is the man who was involved in the hit and run case of Julian Ramos on 10th February in Fresno. On the night of 10th February, Ramos was driving on Highway.99 near Manning Ave.
Reports say that she came across a crash between a big rig and a Hyundai Elantra. She pulled over her car to help the injured driver who has suffered major injuries. She was suddenly struck by a red Ford Explorer when she was standing near the open driver-side door.
The driver fled the scene leaving her behind without calling for help or medical assistance. Police, then, offered a $1,000 reward for anyone with the information leading to the arrest of the culprit.
They mentioned that the driver of that SUC momentarily stooped by and walked around his vehicle for several seconds, got back in the car and fled the scene.
After eight months of rigorous searching, the police got a tip from the Valley Crimestoppers who identified the killer as 68 years old James Commazzi.
James Comazzi Arrested For Hit and Run
James Comazzi has been arrested for hit and run. The warrant was issued on Monday evening. The CHP informed that he surrendered himself at 6 p.m. at the Fresno office and was taken into custody without any further trouble.
According to news sources, Officer Ryan Muraokoshi said that he was cooperative when he was taken into custody. He added that they tried to inquire him but he invoked his Miranda rights to an attorney and denied any further request for an interview.
What Charges James Comazzi Will Face?
James Comazzi will face the charges of felony hit and run and vehicular manslaughter. He is said to have paid a $15,000 bail amount.
However, for now, he has paid ten per cent of the amount i.e. $1050 and was released from custody.
