Williams extended heartfelt appreciation to NBC, stating the network “is and always will be a part of me.”
For the very first time in decades, Williams is set to become a free agent.
For the past five years, Williams has hosted “The 11th Hour,” an end-of-the-day broadcast and political conversation show. CNN Business reported in August that his contract was set to expire in six months and that he wished to move away from the late-night hour.
