Who is David Temple Second Wife? Is David Temple Married Now?

You might have heard about the infamous murder of the pregnant woman, Belinda Temple, in her bedroom closet with a gunshot in the Katy city, Houston back in 1999.

A novel titled “Shattered” was also published by the famous author and novelist Kathryn Casey based on the true story of this murder case in the year 2010.

Who is David Temple?

David Mark Temple, the husband of the murdered woman, Belinda Temple, was indicted for the charge of murdering his wife. David was a High School Coach in the Katy area of Texas.

The murder investigation revealed that Belinda Temple was shot dead with a 12-gauge shotgun based on the wound. However, the murder weapon has still not been found.

When police found out that David Temple had an affair with a woman named Heather Scott, who used to work together as a Teacher in the same high school where David worked, he was suspected of the murder of his wife.

Who is David Temple’s Second Wife?

David Temple had married Heather Scott within two years of his wife’s death in 2001. Heather Scott was a Teacher in the same High School where David was a Football coach. They had been having an affair before the death of his first wife. She has been raising the son of David and Belinda Temple.

David Temple’s Murder Trial

Since the relationship between David and Heather escalated after the death of Belinda and they married so soon, the police suspicion on him grew even more.

He was eventually arrested in 2004 and later on in 2007 he went for his trial. Temple’s second wife had also testified in support of David in that murder trial. The Jury had convicted him of murder in that trial.

However, Temple’s attorney negotiated for a retrial in 2012 by accusing that the prosecutor at that time was withholding the evidence.

That new evidence was the 12-gauge shotgun which was similar to the murder weapon and that pointed towards the Temple’s neighbor Riley Sanders as another suspect.

In July 2019, David Temple had his second trial in which he was once again found guilty of the murder of his wife in his second trial.

Are David Temple and Heather Scott divorced?

Before the second trial, Heather Scott Temple had filed a divorce but had also testified for the trial once again without causing any harm to David’s case. Heather had mentioned the relationship with David was inappropriate and she was ashamed of it and they never discussed the murder.

Heather Scott and David Temple are divorced. Even though she had filed for the divorce at the same time as the second trial of David’s case, her attorney requested everyone to respect her privacy.

Where is Heather Scott now? Is she married?

After the divorce, the whereabouts of Heather Scott has been a private matter.  According to the law, the marital privilege applies even after divorce in the court proceedings. So she is not obliged to speak anything about David that may hurt his case.

As of 2020, it not known to the public whether she is married yet or not. But according to her attorney’s words, in July 2019,  she is doing good, even though she had to go through a lot because of her relationship with David Temple.

Where is David Temple now? Is David Temple married?

David temple is in his fifties now. Even though it has been more than 20 years, this mysterious murder case with several twists and turns never stops. David Temple’s guilty verdict is still enacting.

He had already served in prison in Harris County Jail for more than 10 years.

In march 2020 he was expected to receive the final punishment as the Judge denied his appeal for a third trial. This hearing date has been pushed behind to an unknown date because of the coronavirus pandemic and he is stuck waiting for the court’s decision.
