Rachel Perry’s husband David Perry has been discharged from hospital after he shortly pulled up his vehicle a moment after the explosion outside Liverpool Women’s Hospital on Sunday morning.
The passenger, who is believed to have brought the explosive device into the taxi, has died at the scene and three other men of age 21, 26, and 29 have been arrested under the Terrorism Act.
The identity of the person has now been confirmed as Emad Al Swealmeen, who is now being called a radical terrorist.
After the explosion, the armed police were swooped on several terraced houses on Sutcliffe Street in the city.
