Plácido Domingo Net Worth: Plácido Domingo is a Spanish tenor and conductor who has a net worth of $300 million. Plácido Domingo was born in Madrid, Spain, in January of 1941. As a child, he moved to Mexico with his family where he learned to play the piano and later took on singing, which he often performed with his mother. After various appearances, he began to sing professionally, eventually taking on acclaimed opera roles. His opera debut took place in 1961, where he stared in La traviata at Monterrey. This was also the year he made his singing debut in the U.S., where he stared in Lucia di Lammermoor at the Dallas Civic Opera. In August of 1957, when he was just 16 years old, Domingo was married to Ana Maria Guerre Cue, who was also a piano student. Their son, Jose (Pepe) was born in June of 1958; he is now a professional photographer. The couple divorced shortly after Jose’s birth. Plácido Domingo married his second wife, Marta Ornelas, a fellow opera singer, in August of 1962. Marta was highly acclaimed but chose to have a family with Domingo rather than advance her career. The pair had two sons, Pacido Jr., born in October of 1965 and Alvaro Maurizio, born in October of 1968.
