David Chou has been named as the 68-year-old suspect in the Laguna Woods shooting that happened in Geneva Presbyterian Church. The people there were having a lunch reception to honor the contribution of the ex-pastor of the Taiwanese congregation.
During a press conference on Sunday evening, Orange County Undersheriff Jeff Hallock stated that police have a suspect in custody. According to Hallock, he is an Asian man in his 60s who does not live in the region.
Investigators are trying to figure out if he has any ties to the church or its members, according to a statement from the sheriff’s department. According to Hallock, police do not yet know the motive behind the wrongdoing.
