Darren James Tuckett is the man who killed his friend Kirk when he was drunk and high. On the night of November 15, Darren went to Kirk’s house to mediate a dispute between two other mutual friends of his.
Jason and Greg, the two other mutual friends of the killer and the victim had drunk in Kirk’s house. Greg, who was living in Kirk’s house, asked Kirk to get rid of Jason who was with Tuckett at that time.
According to the case summary by state of Utah, Greg was afraid of Darren as he was heavier and bigger than him and he knew he would lose if he went on a fight. In the meantime, the murderer banged on Kirk’s door, whereas the victim’s mother Andrella asked him to leave.
He forcibly entered the house and asked for Greg, but rather found Kirk, who was getting to the kitchen from his bedroom. He was standing with one foot in the landing and the other foot in the top of the stair.
He asked Tuckett to leave but he pushed him down the stairs. According to eye-witnesses, he pushed him in such a force that he did not even hit any step and directly landed to the concrete floor. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
