According to an internal announcement obtained by Daily Hive Monday, Andrew Johnson, a veteran news anchor, and award-winning journalist, will join the CTV Vancouver team next week.
The station has a new anchor hire and some internal reshuffling just days after a number of high-profile employees were fired.
According to his biography page, Johnson is currently the 6 p.m. news anchor at CTV Vancouver Island, a sister station of CTV in Victoria. He is also the managing editor of the newsroom.
Beginning March 21st, Johnson and Nafeesa Karim will co-anchor CTV Vancouver News at Noon and CTV News at 5.

Before moving to Vancouver Island, Andrew grew up in the picturesque ski towns of the Kootenays. He enrolled at the University of Victoria and earned a Sociology degree.
