Firth was birthed as Colin Andrew Firth on September 10, 1960, in Grayshott, Hampshire, England. He was born to a family of academicians and is the first of 3 children.
For his education, Colin Firth attended what is today known as Kings’ School, formerly known as Montgomery of Alamein Secondary school. He did so after he returned to England from Nigeria where he spent part of his early years.
At the age of ten, young Colin began to attend several drama workshops and when he was fourteen, he already made up his mind to become an actor. To pursue his career in acting, he enrolled in the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, where his skills were whetted.
