Christopher Baldner, a trooper of the New York Police, is charged with multiple charges, including murder. Find out everything.
Attorney general Letitia announced the indictment of New York police Baldner on Wednesday. He is charged with murder, manslaughter for allegedly ramming a car with a family of 4 people and killing an 11-year-old girl, Monica Goods.
Monica’s mother has stated that this is just the beginning of the family’s fight, and they will not leave until they get justice for her daughter.
Who Is Christopher Baldner?
Christopher Baldner is a state trooper whose actions have taken the life of an 11-year-old girl. The incident took place on December 22, 2020.
Monica was in a vehicle with her parents and older sister. They were heading to visit their loved ones for a holiday. While on the road, their vehicle was pulled by Baldner for speeding in Ulster County.
As per the official’s statements, Christopher sprayed into the vehicle during the stop, which caused Monica’s father to drive away. Then a police chase took place, and Baldner was behind the wheels of the patrol car.
But the family’s vehicle wasn’t slowing down, which made Baldner lose his temper. He allegedly rammed his patrol car repeatedly into the back of the car, causing it to flip several times. Monica’s family survived the scene, but she couldn’t. She instantly lost her life to the accident.
NY State Police Trooper Christopher Baldner Arrested For Monica Goods Murder
After months since the tragic accident, Christopher Baldner has finally been called to answer his crimes. It appears this isn’t the first time he has injured a civilian while on duty.
In 2017, Baldner crashed into someone on Interstate 87 in the same Ulster County. And two years later, he allegedly crashed into another family’s vehicle.
Good’s family advocate argued we shouldn’t allow someone with a history to serve in any police force throughout the United States.
Details On Christopher Baldner Charges

Furthermore, Baldner’s attorney is expected to appear in court Thursday for a bail hearing. But so far, there haven’t been any reports.
Late Monica’s mother said that she didn’t just lose one child that day; she lost both of her children because her elder daughter Christina will never be the same.
