According to his About page on his eponymous website, Chad Daniels is a writer, performer, and comedian. Daniels was born on March 2, 1975 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
Information about his early life and upbringing isn’t immediately available, but we listened to his jokes and Daniels seems like one of those goofy class clowns everyone thought was most likely to fail in life. Well, failure could have happened if Daniels had opted for a white collar job, but he knew it wasn’t worth embarking on a career that would have him wearing a suit all week and, luckily, , the world is a happier place.
Records show that Chad Daniels started acting in 1998 at the age of 23. Like most successful comedians in the world today, Daniels got his start at ACME Comedy Company open mic nights. Receiving invaluable guidance from company owner Louis Lee, Chad Daniels quickly became a crowd favorite and as a result demand for his works grew.
Simultaneously, Daniels began performing at Westward Ho Comedy Club in Grand Forks, North Dakota. In 2003, he contributed his talent to the Comedy Central Laugh Riots comedy competition and was a finalist. The following year, Daniels’ talent began to take him abroad, first to Canada where he performed at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. He has since returned to the country several times.
Shortly after the new Comedy Central Live andGotham show premiered in July 2006, Chad Daniels became one of the next comedians to perform at the show. Two years later, in 2008, he won a spot on Comedy Central Presents, the network’s main half-hour program. He was a writer.
The year 2009 seemed to be the decisive year for Chad Daniels. His talent so impressed legendary late-night host Conan O’Brien that he invited him to his show, making him one of 13 comedians to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Conan O’Brien.
The same year, he released his album Busy Being Awesome and received the City Pages Artist of the Year award. In 2014, his 4th comedy album Natural Selection peaked at #7 on the Billboard Comedy Albums Chart while his 5th, Footprints on the Moon (2017) achieved even more success reaching #2. Footprints on the Moon became one of the most streamed comedy albums on Pandora in 2017.
