Cameron Herrin Story: What Did He Do?
In April of 2018, Cameron Herrin and his friend, John Barrineau went street racing.
He was driving a Mustang Ford while John was driving Gold Nissan. They were riding at the optimum speed and seemed to be racing at a highway.
At Bayshore Boulevard, Jessica Reisinger was crossing the road with her toddler. She saw two cars approaching at a higher speed and to save her daughter, Lilia she pushed the stroller.
However, the stroller did not move far away and the car hit both Jessica and Lilia. As a result, both of them died and Cameron and John were taken into custody.
John was granted a state offer and sentenced to 6 years in prison. Cameron also pleaded guilty but he was sentenced to 24 years for vehicular homicide and unlawful driving.
After such harsh judgement, Herrin’s attorney has appealed his sentence at the 2nd District Court of Appeals.
