Who is Caleb Landry Jones?

Caleb Landry Jones is an American actor and musician from Richardson, Texas, U.S.A. He was born as Caleb Jones on December 7, 1989, in Garland, Texas, USA. Jones grew up in his hometown, Richardson, a suburb of Dallas, rural Texas where his parents, Patrick and Cindy Jones run a farm.

While growing up in Richardson, Jones met a birthday mate, Robert Hudson. Hudson was born the same day as Jones and so they developed a friendship. Moreover, Hudson also has an interest in music. The duo, therefore, joined hands and formed an experimental folk-rock band, Robert Jones. In 2009, the band released their debut album Men and Their Horses for digital download. The band, however, could not continue operating as the members dispersed to pursue their individual careers.

Caleb attended Richardson High School where he participated in a number of school plays, always playing the minor roles as he was never able to get the major ones. This appears to be what is still obtainable in his present acting career – Jones usually gets supporting roles.

His Acting Career

Caleb Landry Jones passion for acting grew and he decided to take that part, taking up his first ever film role at the age of 16. That was in the 2007 Coen Brothers thriller No Country for Old Men where he played a minor role. Later that same year, he also got an unacknowledged part in Jonah Hill’s Superbad.

In 2008, he landed a more significant role in Friday Night Lights (2008-2010), playing the recurring character of Jimmy Adler. Between 2009 and 2010, he appeared in two episodes of Breaking Bad. Caleb later landed a role in the 2010 horror film The Last Exorcism after which he relocated to Los Angeles to further pursue his acting career.

Growing into more established characters in the coming years, Caleb Jones soon found himself acting alongside A-listers such as Mark Wahlberg in 2012’s Contraband. He also appeared in 2017 films, The Florida Project, American Made, and Showtime’s revival of Twin Peaks (2017). His latest casting is in the 2019 movie, The Forgiven where he stars alongside Ralph Fiennes, Saïd Taghmaoui, Rebecca Hall, and Mark Strong. Jones also recently signed on to co-star with Tom Hanks in Amblin’s upcoming sci-fi film, Bios.

Is He Gay Or Does He Have A Girlfriend?

Information on Caleb Jones relationship status is not available. The star has never revealed if he has a girlfriend or not. In the bid to sniff out info on his love affairs, many have mistaken his stage romantic affairs to be for real. Prominent among such movie hook-ups is the one of Jones with Heaven Knows What co-star Arielle Holmes Harley. Arielle revealed that Caleb made their relationship in the movie pretty close and very real. The duo got on so well at the time that people started thinking they’ve started “something” in real life. He was also linked to being in a relationship with another co-star Sarah Gadon in 2012. Nevertheless, the rumors were not substantiated.

Moreover, it has been rumored that Caleb Jones is gay. This is as a result of his recent physical looks – long hair, cleanly shaven beards alongside make-ups. With these looks and no obvious girlfriend, people couldn’t help but start believing that Jones could be gay. But there has never been any substantial evidence to back up these claims. Jones has never been spotted being intimate with a fellow man. He has also not come out to say that he is homosexual.

Additionally, the movie star doesn’t have any active social media accounts. The only available one is the one his fans have set up, a Twitter fan page CLJArmy where they track his career. This makes getting information on his personal life even more difficult.
