Who Is Bruce McArthur? Explore His Wiki
Bruce McArthur’s wiki profile says he is a serial killer who murdered eight men in Toronto, Canada.
He was born in Lindsay, Ontario, on October 8, 1951, and grew up on a farm in Argyle, near Woodville, in the Kawartha Lakes region. He had a sister from his parents, but he grew up with a few other children his father and mother fostered.
His mother was an Irish Catholic, and his father was a Scottish Presbyterian. Both were devoted, which caused disagreements, but McArthur backed his mother.
It enraged his strict father. And McArthur subsequently suspected that his father had sensed his homosexuality. He had struggled to embrace his sexual orientation, which was considered unusual in rural Ontario at the time.
Later, he went to neighboring Fenelon Falls Secondary School for his further education, where he met and began dating Janice Campbell.
They graduated in 1970 and got married when he was 23 years old. During his time of marriage, he had started to visit the gay village and have sexual affairs with men. It was in the early 1990s.
He came out as gay and told his wife the truth, but they remained together. But, they separated from each other when they declared bankruptcy in 1997.
Following the separation, he went to see a psychiatrist who prescribed him Prozac for several months. His first assault was recorded in 2001. His murder saga began at that time as he fell deep into his darkest desire.
Where Is Bruce McArthur Now 2022?
Bruce McArthur is serving a prison sentence in 2022. Justice McMahon sentenced McArthur to life in prison with no chance of release for the next 25 years on February 8, 2019.
The judge called the acts “pure evil” and said that the accused exhibited “no indication of regret” and would have killed more if not captured him.
Despite this, he believed that, given McArthur’s age and guilty plea, the punishment should not be one of retribution. Thus, he can ask for parole at the age of 91, but McMahon believes it is “highly unlikely” that he will be granted.
According to a news source, he is overweight, has Type 2 diabetes, and is unlikely to live that long.
