| Quote | |
|---|---|
You know how it is. Every time you kiss someone else, in a way you always remember that very first time.
I think reading is important for a variety of things. I mean, first of all, it’s a way to get information and find out what’s going on in the world. But also, it helps your imagination.
It’s just I hate reading the description ‘offbeat’ about a character in a script, because I, along with Seth Green, Jamie Kennedy and a few others, have cornered the market on ‘offbeat.’
It’s always fun when you’re doing the CGI stuff, to actually get to work with someone who is real, who’s there.
My character is not flawless.
My high school girlfriend would ask if I finally learned how to unbutton the back of a sweater!
My idols are Richard Dreyfuss, Michael Keaton, John Goodman. Maybe that’s what I want for me.
With a sequel you’re always trying to get bigger and better.
I think it can be fun to be single and date-like when you don’t want a relationship. Or when you’ve just gotten out of a relationship, and, after get over the initial shock, your thinking, Hey, it’s kind of cool being single.
I once threw a water balloon on a girl because I caught her cheating on me. She was kissing my friend and I thought, ‘Oh, this can’t be happening.’ It was bad and I was much older than you think throwing a water balloon. I was 14.
For awhile, I got stupid about only wanting a leading-man role, but I have no illusions. I know I’m not Brad Pitt.
I am really Method-y.
If I have an iPod, I’m good.
| Fact | |
|---|---|
Fellow actor buddies of Breckin Meyer, Dominic Monaghan and Bryan Callen stated during Bryan’s podcast “The Fighter and the Kid” that Breckin Meyer turned down one of the Hobbit roles in the first Lord of the Rings epic movie. Supposedly, he did this very confidently during “Inside Schwartz” TV series production, which ended up being canceled after the first season, 13 episodes. Can you say “bad move”?.
He has German, English, French, and Irish ancestry.
Second daughter named Clover.
Attended Beverly Hills High School with writer/actor Quincy Rose, Alicia Silverstone and Johnny Whitworth.
He co-starred with Amy Smart in both Rat Race (2001) and Road Trip (2000).
Was in a deleted scene from Old School (2003), in which he played a police officer. Only a glimpse of the scene can be seen in the blooper reel on the DVD.
Went to the same High School as Angelina Jolie, Michael Klesic, Nicolas Cage, Corbin Bernsen, Lenny Kravitz, David Schwimmer, Jonathan Silverman and Richard Dreyfuss.
Has a daughter with wife Deborah Kaplan, named Caitlin Willow, b. December 31, 2003.
Actress Miriam Shor, who played the role of “Julie Hermann” in the TV series Inside Schwartz (2001), tutored Breckin Meyer, who is not Jewish, on playing the Jewish character “Adam Schwartz”.
Played the drums in a punk band with a few friends.
Is in business with Seth Green and Ryan Phillippe. These three actors have their own production company.
Drew Barrymore’s teen biography “Little Girl Lost,” credits Breckin as having given her her first kiss at age 10 while Breckin was age 11.
Has an older brother Frank and a younger brother Adam.
His parents, Chris (a management consultant) and Dorothy (a microbiologist-turned-travel agent), are divorced.
