Who Is Brady Robertson? Brampton Accident Linked To Karolina Ciasullo’s Cause Of Death

Brady Robertson was sentenced to 17 years in jail following a car accident in Brampton that killed three children and their mother.

On Monday, a Calderon man was sentenced to 17 years in jail after being found guilty in a tragic crash in Brampton that killed a woman and her three young daughters.

Brady Robertson’s “casual attitude” toward traffic laws deserved a harsh penalty, Ontario Court Justice Sandra Caponecchia told a Brampton, Ont., court Monday.

In the two-and-a-half years, Robertson had racked up fifteen traffic violations, leading up to the June 18, 2020, crash in Brampton that killed Karolina Ciasullo and her kids, Klara, Lilianna, and Mila.

Who Is Brady Robertson?

Brady Robertson is a 21-year-old driver that killed a mother and her three daughters in an auto-mobile car in Brampton nearly two years ago.

According to the judge, just two days before the crash, Robertson failed to stop at an intersection and drove into a barrier. She claimed that he was “jolted out of his slumber” by the incident and speed away to elude authorities. According to the judge, the fact that no one was wounded is “pure coincidence,” according to the judge.

As per Capocchia, any past punishments for Robertson’s driving did not discourage him, and the June 16 crash didn’t act as a “wake-up call” as it should have.

“I refrained from calling both crash accidents. That’s because neither was an accident; both were crimes, not accidents,” she explained.

Brampton Accident Linked To Karolina Ciasullo’s Cause Of Death

Karolina Ciasullo and her three daughters, Klara, Lilianna, and Mila, aged between six to one, were killed in the Brampton accident nearly two years ago.

Peel police were following the driver of an Infinity when it collided with an SUV at the intersection of Torbram Road and Countryside Drive on June 18, 2020. According to investigators, at the crash, Robertson was traveling at a speed of 152 km/h.

Robertson had already guilty to four counts of dangerous driving that resulted in death. He pleaded not guilty to driving under drugs, which resulted in a deadly crash. The law that sets a legal limit for THC blood concentration when driving in Canada is unconstitutional.

Brady Robertson Jail Sentence And Mugshot

The 21-year-old Robertson will be given nearly three years credit for time spent awaiting trial, reducing his sentence to 14 years and two months.

Also, Robertson was granted a 34-year driving prohibition, which began when he was sentenced to prison; following his release, he will face a 20-year ban.

Authorities had sought a sentence of 23 years for Robertson, who was found guilty last year of killing Ciasullo, 37, and her three young daughters. The Crown also requested that he be denied parole for ten years or until he completes half of his sentence, whichever comes first, and a lifetime driving prohibition.

Robertson’s attorney requested a seven-year sentence, claiming that a “crushing sentence” was unnecessary for a “young” first offender.

Craig Bottomley further stated that Robertson’s time in detention has been “a nightmare” and that he had not received proper and regular medical care.
