Former police reporter, Bob Marleau was a lottery winner who allegedly died bankrupt. Learn about his wiki, cause of death, wife, and net worth in the article below.
Bob Marleau was a former police reporter who was also known to be a lottery winner in the year 1998. In fact, he won $ 1 million USD in a hospital lottery.
Bob stayed on at the paper for a while after winning $1 million in a hospital lottery, but he left in 2003, at the age of 55, to pursue an audacious and a little wacky scheme.
He purchased the defunct Recorder & Times building on King Street in Brockville and converted the former publisher’s office into a penthouse suite with a view of the St. Lawrence River. He’d made it to the top in a beautiful late-career turn.
RIP Bob Marleau. Beautiful and true obituary by the finest writer in town @KellyEganColumn. His life story warrants a better hedline (no mention of newsman, ex-cop reporter). He taught me to call the funeral homes for next of kin before Facebook. https://t.co/GpbWinzjS2

Obituary: Who Is Bob Marleau? His Age Revealed
As mentioned previously, Bob Marleau was a police reporter.
As per the reports, he was at the age of 73 years old at the time of his demise.
However, his exact date of birth has not been revealed yet. In the police association building on Catherine Street, he drank and played poker with off-duty cops.
Pots grew large, and paycheques were at risk of being lost, but Marleau had made a lot of contacts and was aware of the skeletons.
The Citizen was at its peak at the time: circulation was high, papers were fat, and the newsroom was young and crazy. Being a cop reporter with that kind of access meant you’d made it.

Bob Marleau Cause Of Death: Did $1 Million Lottery Winner Die Bankrupt?
The $ 1 Million lottery winner, Bob Marleau died bankrupt in his apartment as confirmed by the sources.
The horrible burden of attaining everything he have always desired in life could have been the worst thing that could have ever happened to him.
He died destitute, living alone in a little house in Alexandria with six cats, a dog, his 1978 Fiat Spider, and a thick dossier of bitter grievances he took to his cemetery on Nov. 19, at the age of 73.
The news was distressing for some of the old-timers at this newspaper, despite the fact that we hadn’t heard from him in 15 years, save for barrages of emails from a furious, wounded mind.
A sweet obit for a sweet man. Our old colleague Bob Marleau.
