On 14 July 2019, after seeing her kiss another man, Brandon Andrew Clark, murdered Bianca Michelle Devin, police reports say that the assassination had been deliberate.
He was accused of second-degree assassination following an immediate and botched suicide attempt. He then pleaded guilty to the assassination and was sentenced to 25 years in jail.

Talking about her murder in detail, On 13 July 2019, a show in New York City was performed by Canadian singer Nicole Dollanganger, attended by Devins, Clark, and their masculine friend Alex.
Clark and Devins came back to Utica after the show. During the concert, Devins was faced with a kiss at the back of Clark’s car between him and Alex. Devins excused Clark but said they were not in a uniform relationship.
Inadequate with her answer, he started to attack her and eventually slipped her neck, hidden by her seat with a long knife.
Bianca Devins died on July 14, early in the morning. Her body was almost decapitated while Clark built a fire in the car.

When Kimberly, “Kim” Devins learned that she was pregnant as a Catholic high school teenager at the age of seventeen, she was terrified after growing up and living in Utica, New York, for most of her life.
As she knew, however, that she wanted to be a mother, on October 2nd, 2011, just days before her 18th birthday, she happily welcomed Bianca Michelle Devins into the world. A few years later, Olivia Devins was born.
Kim referred to this all at court and stated: “I was Bianca’s mom throughout my adult life, and I don’t know who I am without her.”
Kim always sought to be there as a single mother whose former husband had been “emotionally abusively” not active in children’s lives. She knew Bianca and tried to help in any way she could, and her friendship with Brandon Clark was also known to her.
Kim first saw the young man as “charming and polite” and someone who had opened up and seemed to care a lot for her daughter. But she now says with all this: “He’s been perfect, very good at masking who he was.”
