Leaner driver Ayse Laz is arrested for a scooter crash and killing Khai Shien Chow. He is the 2nd DoorDash rider to die within 2 months.
Last October, Khai Shien Chow was killed after a hit and run case in Central Business District in Melbourne. Khai was from Malaysia and worked as a courier man for the online food ordering company Doordash.
According to a Doordash employee, he was on a delivery service when the tragic incident occurred. The killer Ayse Laz struck Khai’s scooter with an allegedly stolen Honda Civic car.
She also hit a pedestrian as she was running away from the scene at the King and La Trobe Street intersection at 7 pm on October 24, 2020. Khai was announced dead after he was hospitalized that day.
Another food delivery rider has been killed while working. Chow Khai Shien was hit by a car in Melbourne. He is the third gig economy worker to die in a month in Australia https://t.co/FMTfjh2qlj

Who Is Ayse Laz? DoorDash Rider Khai Shien Chow Killer
Ayse Leila Laz is the killer of Doordash rider Khai Khai Shien Chow. She is reported to be 21 years old as of 2021. After she was convicted of the Melbourne carnage, she was not only charged with murder.
Laz was charged with reckless driving and causing death, failing to halt and assist, stealing a vehicle, driving while suspended, and running a stoplight. Her learner’s driving license was previously suspended for speeding.
She is claimed to have committed offenses while being on bail. The killer did not obey police orders to stop and resisted authorities while being chased in the Melbourne suburbs after the crash.
The victim Khai’s family expressed deep sadness for his death. His mother stated that she felt guilty for his burial being in Australia and not in Malaysia.
Three delivery rider deaths in the space of a few months. Dede Fredy, Xiaojun Chen and Chow Khai Shien deserved so much better, and it’s crucial that we overhaul this exploitative, morally bankrupt industry before even more tragedy can occur. https://t.co/Yrn1FVCtVt
