Who is Antonio Ciontoli? Sentence And Case Update

Antonio Ciontoli was sentenced to 14 years in prison for voluntary manslaughter with possible arson.

This is the judgment of the Supreme Court of Cassation.

The Court finally expressed its opinion by putting an end to the trial for the death of Marco Vannini.

The twenty-year-old was killed by a gunshot in the night in the house of his girlfriend’s parents in Via Alcide De Gasperi in Ladispoli, on the north coast of the province of Rome.

The reading of the judgment was greeted in the chamber by applause and cries of joy.

The Court of Cassation has confirmed the convictions for Antonio Ciontoli, his wife Maria Pezzillo, and children Martina and Federico.

The family’s appeals, accused in various ways of the murder of Marco Vannini, which took place on the night between 17 and 18 May 2015 in Ladispoli, were rejected. Antonio Ciontoli will have to serve 14 years, while his wife and children 9 years and 4 months.

The Ciontolis will turn themselves in the evening in prison.

Antonio is considered the culprit of the murder of the very young Marco Vannini, boyfriend of his daughter Martina Ciontoli, who was at his home, in Ladispoli, on the night of the fatal accident.

Born in Caserta, Antonio Ciontoli is 51 years old and is a former Marshal of the Navy in charge of the Rud (Group of Defense Units of the Secret Services).

The judges held him the main culprit in Vannini’s death, which occurred from gunshot wounds after hours of exhaustion. According to Ciontoli, the gunshot that killed the boy would have started by mistake.
