Delaware State Police announced Tuesday that a 15-year-old connected with the February fatal shooting of another 15-year-old.
Who Is Angelise Merced Of Elsmere?
Angelise Merced of Elsmere was charged with criminal manslaughter, possession of a handgun at the commission of a felony, and position of a firearm by a person barred for the death of Emoni Boyd.
Instead of $130,000 cash bail, she was sent to the New Castle County Detention Center.
Who Shot Emoni Boyd To Death?
Detectives were able to identify 15-year-old Angelise Merced of Elsmere as a suspect via their investigation. Merced was charged with the offense she committed on April 13, 2020.
Boyd was discovered dead soon before 10 p.m. at the Newport Terrace Apartments, off West Justis Street in Newport, after responding to a 911 call regarding a gunshot at an apartment.
According to neighbors, Emoni was among a group of adolescents partying in a first-floor flat. Rivers-Boyd did not live in the complex, and authorities have not revealed why she was shot.

Merced ended Instagram live and pulled the trigger while snapping photographs with the pistol, the bullet hitting Emoni in the face.
Everyone, including Angelise, fled the scene after Emoni was shot, leaving Emoni to die.
