Who is Angel Haze (American Rapper)?

Angel Haze, born Raykeea Raeen-Roes Wilson on 10. July 1994 is an American rapper and singer. Born in Detroit, Michigan to a military family, the rapper merged her middle name with a porn star’s nickname and became Angel Haze. Her father, an African American, died while Haze’s mother, a Native American, was pregnant with her. He died after shooting himself in the stomach while trying to handgun someone in a fight.

When she was a young child, her mother met a minister in the Grand Apostolic faith who told her that God wanted her to leave college and live with his family. She joined and pursued what Angel Haze describes as a cult. Growing up in the church was difficult as the rapper faced domestic violence, sexual abuse, and manipulation.

Speaking to The Guardian , Angel recalls being told she would die spontaneously if she didn’t behave properly. Her family lived with others in the same community, ten minutes apart, and they were not allowed to speak to anyone outside the community, not wear jewelry, listen to music, eat certain things, or meet people.

When she was 15, Angel’s mother fell out with church leaders, and the family left the church and moved to Brooklyn, New York. However, they lived in fear for many years because the so-called pastor told them that God was going to kill them.

After that, things became more difficult and the family moved around a lot and temporarily lived in an animal shelter. Wearing good clothes was imaginable and Miss Haze was mocked at school. As a result, it was difficult for her to make friends due to the constant movement and switching between school and school. However, she finished her high school a year early.

Angel began to write, as an outlet for her lifeSuffering. She first wrote poetry and later raps. Her first poem was published when she won a school competition at age 13. Although she took creative writing classes as a child to prepare for becoming a songwriter or gospel artist, the star rapper later began making YouTube videos and freestyle rap at 18, according to Like Tumblr and without planning it, started to form a fan base.

Meanwhile, continuing her move to New York, Angel Haze began listening to secular music and drew inspiration from artists like Eminem, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Lil Wayne, whom she believes are uncompromising.

From 2009 to 2012, Angel Haze released five mixtapes for free download on the internet. These include New Moon, Altered Ego, King, Voice and Reservation. Following the stellar success of her latest mixtape, she has been nominated for the Sound of 2013 poll announced by the BBC on December 9th. In 2012, the young lady shared her experiences of sexual abuse on the cover of Eminem’s “Cleaning Out My Closet.” She spoke about being sexually assaulted by two men when she was seven years old and didn’t tell anyone because she was afraid no one would believe her.

In August 2013, she released the lead single “Echelon (It’s My Way)” from her debut album Dirty Gold which dropped in December 2013 and on September 14, 2015, she released the mixtape zurück in den Wald and in March 2017 it was followed by “Resurrection”. .

Living in a world full of bad things others may choose to close their eyes, Angel Haze chose to be vocal and focused her raps on issues such as homophobia, rape culture and racism. She believes her goal as an artist is to reach out to people who have some things in common with her and who are going through difficult times.
