Andrew Symonds was an Australian cricketer who represented his country in all three forms as a batting all-rounder, and his son Billy Symonds is mentioned here. He was an integral part of two World Cup-winning teams.
Symonds batted in the middle order and bowled medium pace and off-spin as a right-handed batsman.
Due to disciplinary difficulties, including alcohol, Symonds was forced to quit the team in mid-2008.

Many cricket analysts believed that Symonds would declare his retirement once the Australian authorities no longer accepted him.
