According to BBC, the details of the American journalist’s death emerges, not less than two weeks after Ukrainian journalist Yevhenii Skaum, a camera operator for the Ukrainian television channel LIVE was killed.
Likewise, a British journalist covering the war in Ukraine was also shot and wounded after coming under fire in Kyiv. However, as of now, the news of his passing is currently all over the news.

His death was reported by a reporter for PBS Newshour who happened to be nearby when the journalist was killed. Furthermore, the reporter was wounded too.
Following the death of Renaud, the US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan mentioned that the country could impose “appropriate consequences” against Russia for Renaud’s death.
