Robert Arquette was born on 28 July 1969, in Los Angeles, California USA, the fourth child of Brenda Olivia and Lewis Arquette, who were both involved in the film industry. As Alexis Arquette, she was known as a transgender cabaret performer, actress and underground cartoonist, who worked on projects such as “Pulp Fiction” and “The Wedding Singer”. She passed away in 2016.

So just how rich was Alexis Arquette? According to authoritative sources, this American actress had a net worth of over $3 million, accumulated from her over three decades-long career in the previously mentioned fields. In addition to that, she was recognized as an activist for the LGBT community.

Arquette made her debut in 1982 at the age of 12, appearing in the music video for “She’s a Beauty” by The Tubes. She then waited until 1989 for a more serious role, portraying Georgette in “Last Exit to Brooklyn”, which really established her career and net worth. Importantly, she landed the role of Dan in “Jumpin’ at the Boneyard” in 1992, which earned three nominations, including an Independent Spirit Award and a Grand Jury Prize. During the same year, Arquette had a prominent role in the comedy romance movie “Miracle Beach”, portraying Lars alongside Dean Cameron and Ami Dolenz. In 1994, she had a minor role in the publicly acclaimed movie “Pulp Fiction”, which caught the eye of the media, and then in 1995 landed the starring role in “Paradise Earned”, written by Paul Ruven and acting alongside Udo Kier. During the same year, she played the main character in “Days of the Pentecost”, a drag action movie, and then played another main character, this time in “I Think I Do”, a comedy movie about a gay couple on a straight couple’s wedding. Her net worth was rising steadily.

In 1998 Alexis was seen as George in “The Wedding Singer”, which again caught the attention of the media. In addition, she was cast to play Greg in “Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror”, a movie focused on a group of college students who set out to take a road trip, but end up facing great danger in a small town inhabited by a cult of children. During the early 2000s, Arquette appeared in hit series such as “Xena: Warrior Princess” and “Friends”. In 2003, she starred as Eva Destruction in “Killer Drag Queens on Dope”, an action comedy movie directed and written by Lazar Saric. As of 2010 she played one of the main characters in “Here & Now”, and in 2017, another of her film projects was released posthumously, entitled “The Pretender”, in which she also played the lead role.

To conclude, this American actress appeared in a variety of movie and television projects, over 70 in all.

When it comes to her less-than-private personal life, Arquette expressed interest in undergoing a series of surgeries in order to change her gender from male to female in 2004, realizing her plan in 2006, and her transition was filmed in “Alexis Arquette: She’s My Brother”. From then on, she was an advocate for transgender people and their issues. Nevertheless, Arquette transitioned back to male in 2013 – quite how is unclear. In 2016, she faced health troubles as a result of cardiac arrest, and was placed in a medically induced coma, but died on 11 September 2016 in Los Angeles at the age of 47. She had been dating Jared Leto, an American singer and actor, and had been in a relationship with Sham Ibrahim.

Quote
1 “I enjoy being a character actor, I enjoy being different in everything. I want a private life, I want to be able to go to 7-11 and not get into a fight with a guy because he saw me in a movie, or not have people hitting on me simply because they saw me in a movie. You want to be wanted for who you are, not what you’ve done or who you’ve become, and it’s hard.” Interview with Chris Lee, 1998.

I. M. Pei net worth: I.M. Pei was a Chinese-American architect who had a net worth of $150 million dollars at the time of his death in 2019. He was born Ieoh Ming Pei in Guangzhou, China on April 26, 1917, the son of one of China’s most important bankers. The family moved to Hong Kong when he was an infant so his father could take the top position at the Hong Kong branch of the Bank of China. The family moved to Shanghai when Pei was 9 when his father was put in charge of the largest branch of the Bank of China. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, followed by Harvard University where he obtained his Master’s degree in Architecture in 1946. Pei is best known for his modern architecture in buildings like the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston, the National Gallery of Art East Building, the Louvre Pyramid in Paris, the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, and the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha. He was the head of I.M. Pei & Associates, I.M. Pei & Partners, Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, and Pei Partnership Architects. One of his only “failures” was the John Hancock Tower in Boston. As the building was nearing completion in 1973, sheets of glass suddenly started popping out of the facade. The issue was ultimately determined to be the fault of the glass company, not Pei’s design but the controversy temporarily damaged his firm’s reputation and finances. Years later he would admit that his company was nearly bankrupted by the lawsuits. The facade was fixed and the building ultimately won many awards. During his life Pei received the Royal Gold Award, the AIA Gold Award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Pritzker Prize, and the Praemium Imperiale. His family traces back to the Ming Dynasty. Pei’s work is described as having cubist themes and is known for incorporating simple geometric patterns. He often contested the dichotomy of modern art versus post-modern art with the argument of how it affects community and the life revolving around us. I. M. Pei died on May 15, 2019 at the age of 102.
