Ahoynateo is a bit private when it comes to his personal life. He previously had at least one relationship. He has never been wed before. There are little to no details about his past dates and hookups. Smith claimed that between 2016 and 2017, he and his ex-girlfriend Amber shared a residence with Nathan. The two had first met while ice skating.
Destery claims he was unaware of their relationship until he returned home one day and found the two kissings and touching in his studio (which served as Owen’s makeshift bedroom). Owens left immediately after talking to Smith about it with his fiancée, who was furious and asked him if he had to go back to his parent’s house in Idaho.
Smith continues, “Despite how repulsed I was by his behavior, I didn’t need to make this information public because he was still my best friend, and I only wanted what was best for him.

Owens then made several videos of his own, detailing his grievances against Smith due to having seen manipulation, lying, and cheating throughout their lengthy acquaintance. One of these claims was that Owens didn’t receive a reasonable wage from Smith for his work on the DesandNate channel and hardly ever received any payment.
Smith addressed this accusation in a live stream from his Twitch broadcast in June 2021, saying, “I will pay Nathan 100% of anything he made on the channel. Because he didn’t upload anything, he wasn’t born. As soon as people started coming forward with their accounts of Owen’s inappropriate behavior, it wasn’t long before people started finding flaws in his claim.

Those still following him on Instagram saw that he observed a new account called “Lil Mistake,” which had just one post at the time, a single unreleased purported photo of Smith.
Many former fans and drama channels think Smith was the owner of this account and that he tried to “rebrand himself” as a rapper to resurface online under a new guise.
Weak (expletive) Game, a song by Lil Mistake featuring Big Creepy, was released on April 5, 2021. Unconfirmed rumors suggested that this artist was also Smith.
