Following its popularity, the network renewed it for two further series. With the grand Season 2 finale aired on July 30, 2021, the series returned for its third season on February 23, 2023.

Moreover, the series has already been renewed for the fourth season.

It showcases a stark social divide between wealthy residents (called Kooks) and working-class locals (Pogues).

Who Has The Diary In Outer Banks?

John B and his father Big John have the diary in Episode 4 of Outer Banks Season 3. The father and son duo hunt for the original copy of the diary.

When the father and son discover that the copy of the diary has perished in the rain, they continue to search for it. It brings them to Mr. Sunn’s place.

As Mr. Sunn was not home, the duo broke in and started sniffing around. Suddenly, some smugglers attack them and take the original copy of Denmark Tanny’s diary for themselves.

John and his father chase after them on dry land. Soon they hijack a jet ski and follow the goons, reaching a stand-off on the water. The smugglers were working on behalf of Mr. Singh.

As they escape on their boat, Big John tries to negotiate with them stating that the diary is beneficial, but they could earn more money once they find the real treasure.

Unfortunately, the goons had other ideas and plan to kill John and take his father to Singh. Big John immediately figures out their intention and shoots both the smugglers.

John looks in shock as his father chucks the deceased bodies into the water and covers his tracks. He then grabs the valuable diary and points out to his son that he had no other choice but to do this.

Who Is Denmark Tanny In Outer Banks?

The first time viewers see or hear about the Denmark Tanny is via a bygone portrait hanging in Ward Cameron’s office in Tannyhill Plantation.

Denmark was the founder of Tannyhill. As the plot unwinds, we learn that he is much more than just a portrait.

Outer Banks is all about hidden treasures and the core of the series revolves around this character’s legacy.

Born in 1806, Tanny was an enslaved man who served as a cook on the Royal Merchant ship. Sadly, the ship sank, and being the only survivor of the ship, he collected all the treasure -but didn’t keep it all for himself.

He used the fortune to be free and purchased what would later become the Tannyhill Plantation. He also used the treasure to free all the Kildare Island’s enslaved people, including his three sons.

Does Kiara Have The Diary?

No, Kiara does not have Denmark Tanny’s diary. John and his father retrieved the original copy of the diary from Mr. Sunn’s place in Episode 4.

As the father and son struggled with the goons, the rest of the gang returns home from the Caribbean. Meanwhile, Cleo assures Pope everything will be fine despite being wary of his parents.

Kiara gets reunited with her wealthy kook parents in their home, while Pope’s parents are emotional and embrace their beloved son in a Pogues part of town.

Kiara then meets with JJ, who is enraged by the harsh realities of his home. She nearly kisses him on the boat and discusses this development. JJ believes they would be horrible romantically and Kiara is well-off.

As Kie attempts to defend herself and fight for them, JJ doesn’t listen and drives off on his bike to sulk everywhere.

Soon, she learns about Rafe’s return from Sarah.

She updates JJ about Rafe’s idea to collect the cross. At last, JJ and Kie decide to stay good friends and make a truce.
