4 Reasons We Think It’s Just Getting Started
1. Nell Tiger Free as Myrcella Baratheon from GOT
Free first appeared on the HBO hit series in its fifth season, replacing Irish actress Aimee Richardson, who had previously played Myrcella Baratheon in the first two seasons. Nell Tiger Free knew how difficult it was to take a character from a fan-favorite actress.
Nell Tiger has been in DorneFree’s Myrcella character since season two and reappeared in season five. The young princess, already happy and eager to marry her handsome prince Trystane Martell, was dragged home to Kings Landing by her father/uncle Jaime Lannister.
Also, as revenge for Oberyn Martell and at Ellaria Sand’s impulse, the Sand Serpents unsuccessfully attempted to kidnap Myrcella. Unfortunately, on the way back to Kings Landing, Myrcella was poisoned by Ellaria Sand when all was ultimately assumed to be going well. She died bleeding from her nose and mouth in the arms of her birth father. Shortly before her death, Myrcella’s final scene was quite emotional as she confirmed to Jaime that she was aware of her true parentage.
In a post-season interview, Nell Tiger revealed that her character Myrcella Baratheon’s death was far more gruesome when she was first filmed. According to the actress, the young princess’ death was originally intended to be comparable to that of her brother Joffrey. Myrcella’s brain was originally supposed to burst after Ellaria’s poisonous kiss from Dorne and spread all over the ship. On rare occasions, the hit series’ producers decided that her death should reflect her cute character.
Unlike the rest of her Lannister relatives, Myrcella may not have had as much screen time as she had hoped, but Nell Tiger Free will be missed from the series for her graceful and delicate character. Even though Princess Myrcella is gone and actress Free doesn’t seem to have any immediate productions in the works, the rising star will be gracing our screens again in the near future.

Nell Tiger Free is not only a talented actress but also a singer. The entertainer, who started her music career at a young age, already has one album under her belt. Her debut album No Tie Friday was released when she was 18 years old.

Free previously dated her co-star Dean-Charles Chapman, who played the character Tommen Baratheon, her brother on the hit series Game of Thrones . The former lovebirds’ chemistry was evident offscreen on their social media accounts. After a while, however, the young stars parted. Given her young and burgeoning career, Nell Free fans are betting on more and better celebrities than the star.
