Who died from Collingwood?

Collingwood has paid respect to Billy Picken, one of the club’s all-time great players, who passed away at the age of 66.

Picken played 212 games for the Magpies after making his debut in 1974, earning a spot on the Collingwood Team of the Century.

He participated in 28 games with the Sydney Swans as well.

Picken, who Collingwood referred to as a “dashing defender,” gained All-Australian honors in 1983 and twice won the Copeland Trophy, which is given to the Magpies’ best and fairest player.

For the Magpies, he participated in five championship games, including the 1977 draw.

The Western Bulldogs’ 2016 premiership-winning squad included Picken’s son Liam.

His family and friends have been discreet and haven’t yet disclosed the cause of his passing. Billy might have been ill, though.

The disease he suffered from wasn’t revealed by his family. But there were unconfirmed reports that he died from a disease that is currently unknown
