Hill had a few quiet games after kicking a goal with his debut AFL kick against the Western Bulldogs, courtesy of a 50-meter penalty, until having his greatest game in the round 6 Western Derby against the Eagles.
Hill racked up 21 possessions, two goals, and a game-high seven inside the 50s in Fremantle’s comeback win, earning him the AFL Rising Star nomination for round 6.
