Oti Mabuse was born to her South African parents, Dudu Mabuse and Peter Mabuse, on August 8, 1990, in Pretoria. Her parents were against her idea of pursuing her love for dancing.
The 32-year-old dancer is married to Marius Impure, a dancer from Romania. The couple started dating in 2014. During a dance competition in Germany, they connected. Together, the two have participated in several contests, and they took first place in the German National Show Dance Championships. The World Latin Championships saw them finish second as well.

Oti Mabuse Parents
Oti has admitted that her parents discouraged her from following her passion for being a dancer, suggesting she use her degree in civil engineering. Oti remembered how her parents responded when she announced that she was leaving her work because it did not sit right with her soul.
Her parents were adamantly opposed to it. They said that it was the worst choice they had ever made. However, she couldn’t dance because she worked as an engineer full-time, which made her quite unhappy.
She was secretly accepted into the civil engineering program after her family applied on her behalf. She claimed that despite enjoying the math and scientific aspect and the thought of making something from scratch, she quickly realized that it was not the right path for her.
Oti claimed that, despite her parents’ objections, her mother, Dudu served as her dance inspiration while growing up in the apartheid era. He had a different father than Oti, Motsi, and their middle sister Phemelo, born when their mother, Dudu, was still a teenager.
Until she met young lawyer Peter Mabuse and became pregnant with Motsi, the young mother and child resided with her mother and preacher father in Kraalhoek, South Africa’s North West province.
They were encouraged by her father to be married, but in the beginning, they were so impoverished that they had to move in with an aunt in Mmabatho, two hours away.
The family relocated 150 miles south to the township of Mabopane, where they lived in relative comfort a year later, in 1982, when Phemelo was born. Peter’s legal career flourished, and currently, he serves as a judge on the Pretoria High Court.
Oti Mabuse Has Three Sisters In Her Family
Oti Mabuse is one of the most popular TV characters today. She decided to join Dancing On Ice on ITV in 2022 after becoming famous on Strictly Come Dancing in 2015. Fans recall her work with her sister Motsi on Strictly before that. The “best dancer of the three,” a sister of the two siblings, was once thought to be one of them.
The oldest of three sisters and 1981-born Motsi is most recognized for her role as a judge on Strictly Come Dancing. In 2019, it was confirmed that the skilled performer would take Darcey Bussell’s place on the popular program.
