That’s when Haaheo Kalona, a senior at St. Louis High School, allegedly pulled out his gun in an attempt to stop the robbery, and shots were fired.
Kalona was hit in the abdomen and taken to a hospital in a private vehicle, where he died later.
According to the defense attorney, Damon’s defense will be “self-defense.”
Damon appeared in front of a judge via video conference on Tuesday morning.
