More than three decades after her death in 1989, Lucille Ball is still one of the most well-known faces on television.
Ball was most known for her part in ‘I Love Lucy,’ which she also produced and co-starred in with her first husband, Desi Arnaz, who was the first black actor to play a male lead on American television.
She was also the first woman to oversee a major television studio, Desilu Productions, which produced a number of popular television series such as “Mission: Impossible” and “Star Trek.”
Many fans are curious about the whereabouts of the late actress’ children these days. While Lucie Arnaz and Desi Arnaz Jr. like to keep a low profile, here’s what we know about their childhood to maturity journey.
Desi Arnaz, Jr.
Desi Arnaz, Jr.—pictured below in 2007—is an actor and performer. The 64-year-old and his sister both starred in the “Here’s Lucy” sitcom with his funny mama, which ran from 1968-1974.
Arnaz also owns the Historic Boulder Theatre and helps direct non-profit Boulder City Ballet Company (BCBC). He sadly lost his wife, Amy, in 2015 after a long battle with cancer.
Lucie Arnaz
Lucie Arnaz has also followed in her famous parents’ footsteps and has had a long career as an actress, director, and singer.
She starred in several Broadway shows (such as “They’re Playing Our Song”), and she performed and directed a musical, “Babalu — A Tribute to the Music of Desi Arnaz.” She also won an Emmy for Outstanding Informational Special in 1993 for her documentary about her parents, “Lucy and Desi: A Home Movie.” Arnaz has been married to her second husband, Laurence Luckinbill, since 1980.
