Jordan Cashmyer, a young woman who appeared on MTV’s 16 & Pregnant with her boyfriend and child several years ago, has sadly died.
Jordan Cashmyer made her first appearance on 16 & Pregnant in a 2014 episode, which she shared with her then-boyfriend, Derek Taylor.
Cashmyer, a native of Baltimore, Maryland, became pregnant by her boyfriend and was evicted from her parents’ home when she refused to stop seeing Taylor.
The two were forced to become homeless with no nearby relatives to take them in, and Derek was seemingly uninterested in finding work. Then, in 2014, Jordan gave birth to their daughter, Genevieve “Evie” Shae Taylor.

There is very little information regarding Jordan Cashmyer’s parents. However, it is known that Jordan Cashmyer’s parents kicked her out of the house after she became pregnant and refused to stop seeing Derek.
She and Derek struggled with homelessness and financial problems due to Derek’s inability to find work and the lack of local relatives willing to take them in. Her daughter, Genevieve “Evie” Shae Taylor, was born on March 7, 2014.

Jordan’s father and stepmother shared custody of Genevieve with Derek at first; however, in 2015, Derek and Genevieve relocated to Derek’s mother’s home. As a result, Jordan signed over temporary custody to Derek’s mother.
In 2014, Derek revealed (via social media) that Jordan had been working at a strip joint. Later that year, Jordan was admitted to the hospital for mental health issues and a possible suicide attempt. She’s been to rehab several times.

Jordan has two daughters, one from a previous relationship with Derek and one from her current marriage. Lyla is the name of their second daughter, who was born on June 20, 2021.

The young mother died on Sunday, but the cause of death for the former reality TV star is unknown.
On Sunday, a medical examiner confirmed the former MTV star’s death to TMZ.
However, no cause or manner of death has yet been provided, according to the outlet.
Dennis M. Cashmyer Jr., Jordan’s father, confirmed his daughter’s death in a Facebook post on Sunday morning.
“Last night, I received a call no parent ever wants,” he wrote alongside a black and white photo of Jordan.
