Sadly, her father passed away in 2017 due to esophageal cancer just after a year of being diagnosed. Moreover, she has revealed that her father was one of the biggest supporters of her career in swimming.
She died from anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and PTSD after her father’s death and without his support in her training. As of now, she has revealed that her father would have been proud of her recent win at the Olympics.
