Spencer Rattler is a quarterback for the Oklahoma Sooners of the National Football League.

Rattler started at Oklahoma on June 12th, 2019. In the second half of the College Football Playoff Semi-Final Game versus LSU, he saw play. He only saw action in three games during the 2019 season, allowing him to redshirt his first year.

Rattler was benched during the second quarter of Oklahoma’s game against Texas in favor of Caleb Williams.

Following that Rattler’s quarterback coach, Mke Giovando confirmed Rattler’s departure from Oklahoma University after his sophomore season on November 5, 2021.

Where Is Spencer Rattler Now?

Spencer Rattler is still a member of Oklahoma Sooners of the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

Since his removal as the Sooners’ starting quarterback following the Texas game this season, Rattler has been believed to be on his way to Oklahoma.

In this case, Spencer Rattler’s father claimed after the Texas game that his son would not be leaving anytime soon and that he would wait until January or after the Sooners’ season was over to make any decisions regarding his plans.

Because moving or quitting the group at this stage in the season would not be in Rattler’s best interests, it was nearly a predetermined conclusion.

He wouldn’t be allowed to play anywhere else for the remainder of the season, so staying put will allow him to get more practice reps and stay in game form. It also helps his NFL career by reinforcing his reputation as a team guy who can handle adversity gracefully.
