Heather Grossman is now a role model and domestic violence surviving member. Family abuse permanently altered her and her children’s future ten years ago.
The bullet destroyed many hopes, dreams, and Heather Grossman’s ability to perform as before, but it did not kill her or take away her will to live. Ron Samuels, her ex-husband, recruited men to kill her ten years ago.
A paramedic brought her back to life after she ended up dead at the crime scene. She couldn’t genuinely think what had occurred to her when she awoke in ICU, but her will to live kept her going.
Even though her life has changed dramatically, she still wakes up with a sense of aim and a to-do list. She had the option of wallowing in self-pity, but her willpower and love for her kids gave her a purpose in life.
Where Is Heather Grossman Today?
Heather Grossman now lives a complete and happy life, focusing her efforts on raising her three kids, tutoring newly injured spinal cord sick people, and public speaking.
She speaks out against domestic violence, warning others about the dangers, warning signs to look for, and how to stay safe. In April, she was named Ms. Wheelchair Arizona and lately defined Arizona at the Ms. Wheelchair America Pageant in Maryland.
Heather was the first contender who was completely disabled and required life support. Grossman came in second place and received the Achievement Award.
She works as a counselor for the Justice Department’s Office of Victims of Crime in Washington, D.C. She speaks at workshops and seminars.
Who Is Heather Grossman’s Husband Ron Samuels?
Ron Samuels, the man Heather married in 1988, was threatening her life.
Their relationship had been turbulent when they were together. Ron threatened to shoot her if she left him while pregnant with the twins.
It took her four years to find the strength to flee with their children, and she claims he followed them across the country as they ran from him.
Details About Heather Grossman’s Hitman Case
After leaving Ron, Heather later married Grossman, a sweet and loving man she met through a friend, in 1997.
They were traveling through Florida when they stopped at a red light and heard gunshots. One of those shootings hits Heather in msec, ripping a fist-sized hole through her throat, in the left side, and out the right.
She was ‘dead’ for a few seconds when she stopped breathing and became utterly unconscious. A medic was purchasing his meal in the supermarket around the corner when he heard a buzz.
Although paramedics could resuscitate her, she was soon identified as a person with quadriplegia and encountered a lengthy period of recovery and care.
Ron fled to different places but eventually, he got caught, and he is serving life imprisonment now.
